In addition to maintaining and improving our public website, Healthy City also does "off-line" work to help community groups and service organizations use data to support their planning. These services include Community-Engaged Mapping, Online Customization, and Direct Mapping/Research Assistance.

Community-Engaged Mapping
Healthy City's method of community-engaged mapping places a neighborhood's residents at the heart of our data collection and resource planning process. Healthy City works with CBOs, planners and policy makers to bring together residents who provide their expert knowledge of their neighborhood and help identify community-based solutions. Healthy City believes this approach empowers residents to directly shape the changes in their community.

Online Customizations
Healthy City's team of programmers and research analysts also work to repurpose private-sector planning tools for public use. By building mapping and data platforms for public service organizations and philanthropists, Healthy City enables grant-makers and service providers to visualize the geographic context of their efforts and also to consider up-to-date demographic information in their decision-making.

In order to anchor policy and planning processes with solid data, Healthy City provides direct mapping and research assistance to community organizations, government entities and philanthropic institutions. We focus on answering research questions that lead to better resource planning, strategic planning and community investment.
