All Indicators Combined: Redistricting Equity Index
Redistricting Equity Index: Combines equity indicators to highlight areas where progressive-minded low-income Black, Native, and Asian and Latinx people reside. Higher number indicates more power building opportunities. The highest index values indicate the areas with: the highest BIPOC population; the highest BIPOC eligible voter population (CVAP); the highest disabled, immigrant and non-English speaking populations; the highest population living below the poverty line and housing cost-burdened population; the highest vote share in favor of Proposition 15 (2020 General Election); the lowest eligible voter turnout (areas to mobilize); highest share of people without college degrees; the highest enrollment of migrant students in public schools; and the areas with the highest pollution burden.
